I Don’t See Things the Same Anymore

There are some things you can only understand after you’ve lived through them.

My relationship with God has changed the way I see so much of life — especially rejection, relationships, love, and myself.

I don’t see every closed door as something I need to force open anymore. I don’t feel the same need to convince people to choose me. I’m learning that what feels like rejection can sometimes be redirection, and what feels like loss can create room for something healthier to grow.

That doesn’t mean everything is easy. I still have moments where I question things, feel disappointed, or wish certain seasons had gone differently. The difference is that I don’t feel as lost in them anymore. I have more wisdom now. More discernment. More patience with myself.

I’m learning that healing isn’t becoming someone who never gets hurt. It’s becoming someone who knows where to go when they are. And for me, that has been Christ. The more I’ve gotten to know Him, the less interested I’ve become in building my identity around what I’ve accomplished, or what someone may think of me. I’m learning to let God define what is worth holding onto and what I need to release.

This is part of becoming — not having all the answers, but moving through the world with a different understanding than you had before.
