Sunday Reflection

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” - Psalm 34:18

I have started to let my emotions out and be real with myself. Like I said in the past month I’ve become more open especially with people I know who care about me. For a moment I blamed God when I lost my friend. But instead of blaming him, I’ve directed my pain towards God and let him hear my cries. He promised to save those who are crushed in spirit and I am crushed right now, as are the family and other friends. I just need God to rescue us from this pain and save us from being crushed under the weight of this grief. I know it will take time, and only Lord knows how long. But I know that God hears us and makes himself tangible to us when we are hurting like this.
