Don’t do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble towards one another, always considering others better than yourselves.
Philippians 2:3
This verse makes me think of relationships and how we can improve them by putting each other’s interest before ourselves. By doing so you are both giving each other what the other one needs and balancing each other out because you learn to appreciate what you both have at the end of the day. There’s no such thing as being selfish in a relationship. If selfishness takes place then the relationship isn’t a healthy one. If someone is going to be selfish they should be alone and not wanting to take from someone they aren’t willing to give anything to.
