Sunday Reflection

You may think that everything you do is right, but remember that the Lord judges your motives. – Proverbs 21:2

A motive is the underlying reason for any action. So if your actions are not for the benefit of others or for God, they are selfish. God is not fooled by selfishness and can see what truly lies in your heart. Being angry, prideful, seeking revenge, and having a sense of entitlement can affect our actions. And knowing that our hearts can be deceitful, we have to evaluate our motives and be willing to be honest with ourselves when choosing certain actions.

We are constantly working on ourselves to be better and it’s a life long process. Practicing the word of God and being honest with ourselves is the key to the way we move in our lives.
