Sunday Reflection

Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wash you hands, you sinners! Purify your hearts, you hypocrites!

– James 4:8

A lot of people say they pray, and they feel that God doesn’t help them. I feel that God doesn’t help them because he knows where their hearts are. He sees their fake worshiping and acting like children of God, he sees their true self. He can see if your intentions aren’t good and knows what you’re really about. You can’t fool him. I see people who preach about God as if it’s a popularity contest, as if they really worship him. Pray to God and say thank you because you mean it, pray for God to bless you in the way he sees fit, not because you feel you’re entitled to things. It doesn’t work like that. Trust in him and let him guide you. He will show you what you need and fill you with a purpose. Hop off the bandwagon and ask for forgiveness.
