Sunday Reflection

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

Do not pay back evil with evil or cursing with cursing; instead, pay back with a blessing, because a blessing is what God promised to give you when he called you.

-1 Peter 3:9

I had been thinking about my past and about the people who have done me wrong. I was thinking of what I should have done or said, basically thinking of revenge and stooping to their level. The devil has his way of pulling you back in. He was trying to make me forget I had forgiven them and have moved on with my life. I’m in a good headspace right now and following the path that God has for me. In the moment of thinking of my past I felt stuck as if I hadn’t moved on after all. Then I thought “I’m not going to let these negative thoughts hold me back and lead me away from the blessings to come”. Don’t let decisions or people from your past affect the person you’re trying to become. Don’t let hate consume your heart because that’s what the devil wants.
