Sunday Reflection

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

Do not lie to one another, for you have put off the old self with its habits, and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.

- Colossians 3:9-10

We all outgrow certain characteristics. We change and evolve into the person we are meant to become. Trying to become the best version of you is sometimes hard when dealing with obstacles. By being honest with others around us and ourselves, the obstacles turn into lessons that mold us into our new selves. Our new selves should never stop improving and trying to be better. You can always be better and work on being the greatest. I personally feel brand new and was told I was acting ‘brand new’. In the past when I would hear the term “brand new”, it use to bother me because I always felt that I acted the same, and someone was telling meI was acting different. As I got older I noticed my feelings would change about, certain things I thought I knew and then eventually grew to understand more. I knew that I was growing and maturing, andshedding a part of my old self, but for the better. I now embrace my growth and will never stop learning. We all learn something new everyday.
