“When a fool speaks, he is ruining himself; he gets caught in the trap of his own words.”
- Proverbs 18:7
Some people make problems for themselves by the words they speak. They may speak bad about someone, or even preach about something they don’t even practice. Words are powerful. I say words are powerful because the information you are listening to, or what you are saying can make an imprint on your mind and someone else’s. It’s sad to say that some of us do love to hear gossip, and are ready to believe it and spread it. We are naive in that way. Once we receive the gossip and spread it, we are as bad as the person that has told us.
Be mindful of what you say to others. Research your facts before you start preaching about something you know nothing of and don’t believe everything you hear. Let’s not be fools by being destructive with our tongues.
