Sunday Reflection

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

“So then, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you will be healed. The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect.” ‭‭- James‬ ‭5:16‬ This verse speaks about us praying for one another and being open about our wrongs that we have done. Praying for others is something that everyone should do. Even praying for those that you know are not praying for you. In the past my dad would tell me that when someone does something wrong to me, I should pray for them. Never stoop down to their level just pray for them because God sees what they do. Back then it felt good to get back at someone that wronged me. I can’t lie that it didn’t, but it's a waste of time and energy to do that. If I were to get back at someone now and do what they have done to me, I would be just like them. I can simply just move on with my life and pray for them. Pray for those who have wronged you, that they may see their wrongs and for God to help them. If you were wrong pray to God to help you see your wrongs and become better. You can find healing in this process. There is also healing in when you are being vulnerable and being truthful. When you have done wrong it’s better to tell your truth than lie. God already knows what you have done.Start praying for others, be open about your wrongs and start healing now.
