Sunday Reflection

Jesus answered, “If you only knew what God gives and who it is that is asking you for a drink, you would ask him, and he would give you life-giving water.” - John 4:10

In John 4, it is explained that we have a desire to be loved. We tend to look for love in the wrong places because we haven't accepted being loved by God first. When dating you want to be loved and validated by the relationship but it is taking away energy from the other person. This makes a relationship toxic when we expect the above and beyond from someone that may not be able to fulfill our needs and wants. We ourselves can't offer unconditional love when God's love doesn't flow through us into the person we are dating. Once we starts accepting the love of God then we can be a source of love for others.
