Love is too precious of a resource...

Love it too precious of a resource to be wasted. What or who is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of love?

For me, it's the relationships in my life. When I lead with love, I mostly receive love in return. Conversely, when I'm not leading with love, I'm less likely to receive it back—unless the other person is giving me grace and is guided by the principle that "God is Love". My relationships have taught me that love is an action.

It's one thing to say "I love you," but it's another to act on those words. Often, our love can be questioned because we're not acting on it. Acting in love can be as simple as making someone a meal, spending quality time with them, or supporting their business—basically, just showing up. I've realized that in some relationships, it's not easy to act lovingly if you don't feel you're receiving it. However, setting the precedent for the type of relationship you want with your family and friends can show them that we, as humans, can be sources of love. I've tried this approach and received positive results. I've also realized that some people don't know how to show love because they've only ever heard it as a word in their lives and have never been shown what it looks like or how to act on it. You might just be that person to show them.

God is Love, and I do my best to emulate this across the people in my life, even strangers, because it feels good to do so.
