Battling Your Past Self

Sometimes I think about how far I’ve come with self - discovery. I know myself more now, than any other time before, which happens, as you get older. You learn from your past and forgive yourself for the mistakes. But there are times when situations may come about and you go back to the person you use to be. For example you start talking to a man/woman your interested in , but they start showing you signs of what you don’t deserve. Your past self wants to give this person a chance because it’s what your old self would do. Who you are now is telling you don't be stupid, because you know your worth’. But now you don’t know what to do because you’re second guessing yourself. It’s not a bad thing but it’s a sign of growth. You can differentiate between both decisions because of growth. Battling with your past self on new problems with similar issues from your past isn’t easy, but its better because you know what route is better for your life.
