Rebuilding My Mindset: Self-Discovery

Dealing with loving myself more and gaining confidence came with a change of mindset. I started learning about myself and making decisions based off the growth I had gained. It was a goal of mine to find myself. By doing this I stepped outside of my comfort zone, opened up and let God in. I reflected on who I was and who I wanted to become. When finding yourself you have to be honest about who you are. For me I know I had faults within myself I needed to work on, and that’s okay because no one is perfect. I was open to the fact that I knew I could be a better person. You have to be open to figuring out what is holding you back and what you want to change. Self-discovery isn’t an easy process. I realized my worth and the power I possessed as a black woman on this journey. I thought about my values and morals on why they were important to me and expanded my mind, which helped me, cultivate an open mind. I’m still on this journey of self-discovery, but I’m more secure within myself because I took the steps to figure out who I am.
