Stepping Outside The Box

Recently I went to a studio to record part of a song I had written. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but at the same time scared to do it. I was scared because I was shy and not confident in my singing abilities. I’ve been told I could sing numerous times by friends but it was never a passion of mine just a hobby. I thought since I had written a song why not record it. It would have been a waste of time to have a song written and not use it. I felt liberated in a sense, because I finally did something I wanted to do. The song is still in the process of being perfected and I have my reservations about when its done if I should put it out or not. I’m very shy so opening up has been a process for me and writing this blog has helped me with that. I’m sharing this because there are people who know there are things they have a passion for that they’ve always wanted to do or even just try. By not doing what you want, you’re holding yourself back from exploring and living. I know I don’t want to live with regrets, so I've started living my life to it's fullest potential. You can do anything you put your mind to. Don’t hesitate on something you’ve been thinking about doing. Once you step outside your box, you’ll see how much you’ve been holding back.
