Communication & Commitment

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

There are so many relationships I have seen that lack communication and commitment, including past relationships of my own. I look at relationships like this: a flower symbolizes the relationship. If you are not committed to watering the flower everyday then it will die, meaning the relationship is dead. If you feel that when you commit, you won’t be consistent on being honest and loyal, then say how you really feel. Right now in my life I know I don’t want to waste anyone's time so I am honest about my true feelings. Leading someone on is corny. Don’t waste someone’s time for your selfish reasons. Just bow out of the relationship, unless your certain you want to build, grow, give and learn from each other.

Some people take relationships for granted and don’t really try to make things work out. It's either one person giving their all, or both just don’t really care. Why waste your time like that? Relationships where both people try means they are both committed to each other. They are willing to put some of what they want aside for the other person's needs.
