Tables Turn & Bridges Burn

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

I’ve been doing a lot of growing these past few years. I’ve been learning about myself and gained more confidence. But the other day I saw an old friend, someone who I use to tell everything to. With all the blessings I’ve encountered and lessons I learned, I wanted to share with this person all that’s been going on. It’s sad when you miss someone that you use to be close with, but who didn’t take the time to make sure you were good unless you reached out to them. I’ve learned that there's a reason that people who were in your life before but aren’t anymore. They are there to teach you something about yourself. You also learn what is tolerable when it comes to friendships and relationships and what is a deal breaker. You take what you learned and apply it to future situations. Whether you were wrong or right, you learn what to do and what not to do. If you were wrong take accountability. I’m stubborn but if I’m wrong, I’m wrong, no amount of stubbornness will make me right. Some people don’t ever think to themselves that maybe the relationship didn’t work because of them. You may have been that toxic person in that persons life but didn’t realize it. We all make our mistakes, I know I do.
